Installation of synthetic turf for indoor football Detroit Michigan

Univers lawns manufacturer and installer of indoor football has replaced the synthetic turf of 2 fields of 15 mx 28 m for the “Big Foot” 5-a-side football center in Detroit Michigan.


To do this we used a high-end synthetic turf with 50 mm thick infill.

This latest generation artificial lawn with shape memory is equipped with ribbed C fibers which provide very good resistance over time.

To create 2 fields of 15 m x 28 m, we used 14 strips of 4 m x 15 m and 80 linear meters of white lines for the plots.

The lengths and white lines are glued with reinforced bridging tape and bi-component green glue for synthetic turf.

Once the gluing is done, it is time to make the filling.

For this site, handling was important because access was very restricted (door 1 m wide).

For this grass we use approximately 17 kg / m2 of silica and 8 kg of encapsulated green rubber aggregates. The whole is taken in by successive layer thanks to rotating brushes.
