Installation of an outdoor football field in synthetic turf for the town hall of Seattle USA
Univers Gazons has installed an outdoor 5v5 football field for the municipality of Seattle USA.
The dimension of soccer is 20 m wide by 30 m long.
We offer our customers high-end solutions:
Galvanized steel infrastructure with black powder coating composed of:
- Modules of 2 m x 1 m (tube 80x40)
- 100 x 100 corner posts with a welded bar for halyarding the nets
- 2 guy bars at each corner post of 50 x 50
- Double intermediate posts (a post of 80 + 1 post of 50 welded together)
- A door of 1.30 m x 2.10 m with automatic hinges
- Goals measuring 4 mx 2 m and 1 m deep with 100x100 round bars and white powder coating
12 mm transparent tempered glass:
As you can see in the photos or video, the tempered glass panel thanks to its transparency blends in perfectly with the environment.
Both aesthetic and solid, this is the hallmark of Univers Gazons 5v5 soccer fields.
It is attached to the 2 m x 1 m modules on 4 fixing brackets.
Polyamide nets:
Univers Gazons uses high performance nets for its 5v5 football.
On the first 2 meters above the module and at the level of the goals, we install 4.5 mm polyamide nets in 45x45 mesh.
On the rest of the mesh 100 x 100.
The nets are attached to cables using galvanized steel carabiners and are halyarded using elastic ropes at the goals and corner posts.
The goal is to have very strong and durable attachment systems in all weather conditions.
A synthetic turf for football with infill of 60 mm in height.
For this 5v5 soccer we used an artificial turf with a height of 60 mm, ribbed fibers of 13,000 Dtex, 8500 points / m² for a total weight of 2850 g / m².
We installed 4 strips of 4 mx 30 m, cut the lines and then glued all the joints using bridging tape and two-component green football glue.
Once all the synthetic turf was installed, we carried out the filling up to:
- 21 kg of silica / m² (sports sand washed, dried and having the same grain size)
- 12 kg of rubber granulate / m²
The artificial lawn is filled in several successive passes with our spreader and our rotating brush.
Before installing an outdoor football field and following our recommendations, the slab was redone.
Basically it was an asphalt in very poor condition. It was therefore necessary:
- Break the existing slab
- Make a peripheral reinforced concrete beam 40 cm wide x 40 cm deep for fixing the infrastructure
- A 10 cm concrete slab over the entire remaining surface
